Hi gang,
I work in radio, and I just wanted to let y'awl know we were serviced with the new BNL single today: Every Subway Car! Perfect choice for a summer single, but wait - there's a twist. The song has been recut as a duet with singer/songwriter Erin McCarley (http://www.erinmccarley.com/). Just took a listen...wow, quite different, with a lot of female backing vocals, and she actually splits the lead with Ed. Anyone have any insight on how these 2 acts got hooked up? I wonder if Erin is managed by CAM8 or something... At any rate, more info to come, I'm sure. Let's get ready for a summer filled with graffiti love on the radio (hopefully!). Jon M |

Jon, that's awesome! Can't wait to hear the new sound...perfect song to do as a duet.
You know, come to think of it, a female voice in the touring band could be a really, really interesting idea... |

I've never heard of her before, but it sounds like it could be interesting!
I really love Every Subway Car, so I'm quite interested to hear it. |

The way I see the 2 of them hooking up is that Erin is from the Ten out of Tenn group that Butterfly Boucher was also in, and of course Butterfly was invited to S&DV.
I have Erin's album and absolutely love it - her songs have been on Grey's Anatomy and "He's Just Not That Into You" and some other tv shows. It'll be interesting to hear this new single! -Mary |

Ah, so THIS is what that Barbados article was talking about. No wonder I couldn't find out who they were talking about, they spelled her name wrong!

Yes!! I'm so glad "Every Subway Car" is the next single! This is the first time since Maroon the song I would have picked is actually being released as a single. Renews my faith in Cam8.
I'm usually pretty skeptical about this recent trend of re-recording songs as a duet, but I like Erin McCarley, so it may be pretty good. elise

I thought that Summertime would be the next single, though once I think about it, it would make more sense to do that when it is, you know, actually summertime.
Every Subway Car is a great song, but I dunno about it being a single. |

A local Detroit/Windsor station has been playing "Every Subway Car" a lot lately - I've heard it 3-4 times in the past week so I figured it was going to be the next single. But this was the album track - haven't heard this other version yet - very interesting.
