Great Big sea is talking like there will be some cruise in 2014. Check it out here: http://www.au.timeout.com/melbourne/...t-big-seaStart. My wife and were hoping for 2013, but 2014 will do.

Since 2014 is when I plan on going to North America, this could work out perfectly.

They actually specifically say "we’re planning a cruise. That will probably be the last thing we do on the tour." It's not conclusive, but it suggests that they are planning their own cruise. I also don't know if for the previous SNDs, if Great Big Sea (to their own fans) acted as if this was "their" cruise vs. them being on a BNL cruise.
Finally, nothing says that if GBS is on a cruise, even if it's not their own, that it has to be with BNL; it could be on another artists' cruise. Also, there could be a SND in 2013, but maybe GBS is simply unsure whether they can make it or not. Only thing that will tell is a real announcement re: BNL! |

There was some talk a couple of years ago about GBS being the hosts of a celtic themed cruise.

Yes, you are correct that it doesn't mean that this will be a BNL cruise, but they do mention Ships & Dip. Just trying to pass along info I saw. I'd go on a GBS cruise. Still prefer a BNL cruise, but I'd go.

I have confirmed with ALan Doyle of Great Big Sea last summer that there will be a GBS cruise. It is to celebrate their 20th year as a band. It would not surprise me that BNL would be one of their guest bands as they have been theirs for 3 cruises. That is what I think.
