Sorry for the cross post, but I put this in the setlist thread. Thought it would make more sense here.
We were at the Greek show and loved it. I've been an avid fan since 1996. We catch them live here every chance we get. Sure, I missed Steven sometimes. But then there were times I said to myself "Is this a song Steven usually sings?", and it didn't immediately come to me, so I guess those were the times I didn't miss him. I like the fact this now brings Kevin and Jim to the forefront. Ed always makes me laugh. I loved the bit he did toward the beginning of the show when he said the show was sold out, but they were worried the trees would fall down (they're hanging over the terrace seats, which were blocked off), so those people couldn't come. There were a lot of empty seats around us (Section A). I don't get it. Don't people know how fantastic they are??
I do like the new album very much.
I'm disappointed in myself still about this: We got there really early - the gates hadn't opened yet. Tyler walked right by us toward the tour buses. He was alone and not walking very fast - the perfect opportunity to approach him. He crossed the street and vanished. We waited for him a while to see if he'd come back, but he didn't. I didn't want to bother him, but I really should have. I missed an opportunity for a picture, and to tell him how much I enjoy his sense of humor. He cracks me up. Maybe next time.
Oh, and I have a video up (from somewhat afar) of Too Little Too Late on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z40jutnODFU
