Was this a real video that actually aired on music video channels? I saw it on youtube under NetwerkMusic's account and I wasn't sure if it was just something some fans put together or was this is an "official" video that aired on stations like Muchmoremusic. Was this also an actual "single" you could buy in stores like "Easy" and "Wind It Up" were?

The whole thing was abit confusing. The band promoted the heck out of Easy and Wind It Up but I didn't see any promotion for SOYV except for when they played it on David Letterman's show.

I didn't see it on TV, but I rarely watch music TV channels, so perhaps someone else can correct me. I believe it was an internet-based video, but it was from the band (we're talking the one with all the youtube celebs in it).

I'm not aware of being able to buy Easy or Wind It Up in stores (physically), and I wasn't aware of being able to buy Wind It Up as a single even digitally, but I don't think soyv was sold either way either. It was just sort of a toss-out third single.

My understanding is that there was a contest for people to make their own video, and parts out of the winners were used to make the final video. I don't remember seeing it on TV, but I don't watch a lot of TV, anyway.

That was Wind It Up. Sound of Your Voice was a number of youtube "celebrities" who were contacted and asked to make a video in their own youtube style which were compiled into a final youtube music video.

I just saw on Barenaked.net that someone saw it once on Muchmoremusic. I guess that answers the question. Thanks everyone for your help.

It appears that I spliced the two things together in my head :)
