So I don't know about y'all, but I've definitely tried to "convert" some people I've known into BNL fans over the years. Anyone else? Just me? :o
I've just recently gotten to be close friends with someone and he's been asking why I'm such a huge fan of the band...so I'm trying to come up with songs that show just how great the guys are without burning him a copy of every album (studio and live) in my collection. Very tough! I've started with AIGT, by the way. And he likes!
Just curious, what album or mix of songs do you usually recommend to those who like One Week and Million Dollars but haven't heard any of their other stuff?

Personally, I'd go with MYSD (the whole album).

Here's a list of my favs that are not necessarily all the "hits" from the band, two from each album. A few might be considered hits to us big fans, but I've never heard any of these on the radio in the Bay Area, which isn't saying much.
Anyway, were I to try to give someone a good cross section like this, the message would be "You've heard their hits on radio, TV, etc. Here are some others that you may not have heard, and if you like these too, you'll grow to love BNL as much as I do."
Gordon - Enid, Box Set
MYS Drive – Alternative Girlfriend, You Will Be Waiting
Pirate Ship – I Know, I Live With It Every Day
Stunt – Light Up My Room, Never is Enough
Maroon – Never Do Anything, Falling For the First Time
E2E – For You, Take It Outside
BLAM – Sound of Your Voice, Home
BLAMEN – Beautiful, Half A Heart
AIGT – I Have Learned, Every Subway Car

I try to find out what they like to listen to, and tailor it to their tastes. If they like country, I pick out the more bluegrassy/folk stuff (For You, Blame It On Me)... if they like rock, I go that way (Alt Girl, Wind It Up). They're more likely to take notice if it's similar to stuff they already like. :)
I don't think any of my mix CDs have ever been the same. :)

Rock Spectacle is probably the best possible introduction to BNL available.

I'd agree...I think Rock Spectacle is the best bet. :)
