They intro them with One Week video. That's not cliche. Then Regis says THE Barenaked Ladies with You Run WAY. Boob.
Ed's vocals were great and he hit that high note with perfection.
After the song, Regis mentioned Ed carrying the torch in the Olympics and he said he was hoping it was a medal event so he could beat Sarah M. funny.
Then the lady guest host (I don't know her) says: The song is about Steve right? Ed deadpans: It could be about anyone who left a band after 20 years.
Regis - I don't want to intrude on your privacy - but why did Steve leave the band? Ed: After 20 years , 4th grade time for him to move on, i still love him, blah blah blah
Reg: What is Steve doing now? Ed: I don't really give a fuck and I am sick of being asked! It was great!!!
No, He really said he is releasing a new album, we wish him well, blah blah blah
Reg: Do you guys cry at night about Steve? HUH??? Then it was sort of garbled answers with everyone talking at once. I am sure someone more savvy than me will post the link.
girlfriends - they all looked yummy as usual. :)

One of my favorite line from Reg, "The drummer can cry right now."
I thought Jim looked a little thin, anyone else notice?

Blame Craig - I think I missed that in the hubbub of answers to that odd question!

Regis is so awkward and weird sometimes. Cat Deeley kind of made me laugh, she used to be just like that on UK television.

Who is she? She looks familiar and was charming but I just don't know her "body of work" .:)

Ugh. I'm glad I forgot to watch. I can't stand Regis, and your recap highlights ALL the reasons why. Sounds like it was a textbook Regis interview... in other words... utter CRAP!
I give the show credit for giving the Ladies a voice every time an album comes out, but it's excruciatingly painful every time, just because Regis is Regis. Retire, dude. Just retire.

Cat Deeley used to be a fixture in the Brit lad's magazines:

It went about as well as can be expected on R&K. I always cringe waiting to hear what Regis is going to say, but Ed handled it all well. The song was cut down to about 2 minutes, so it didn't make the impression it could have with the build up etc, but it sounded good and it's always nice to see them on TV.

That question kind of reminds of one time when Larry King had some professional skateboarder on his show and he asked him "how important is the board?"

Maybe Regis called it "You Run Way" because he knew the song was gonna be short, so he decided to make the name shorter ;).

Regis: Looks like the drummer could cry, not like you cold Barenaked Guys, whoever you are...
Apparently Regis is not sure of the band's name. :p

You know I am the first to admit I was hoping during this round of press there would be some new angles or questions, however - really Regis?
This was so odd it makes me think of a old SNL Will Ferrell sketch from about 1999/2000ish when he was doing Harry Carrey and asked his 'guest' : "If the moon were made of cheese, would you eat it?"

So, I got this voice message on my phone, from my sister (who has gone on the cruises with me) yesterday morning, JUST after I'd left for work. Couldn't understand much of it, so I called her last night and it was her trying to tell me that the boys were on Regis that day (so I could watch).
I said, yeah, and said something about - with Cat Deely and the same old same old questions of Why did Steve leave and that Reege called the song You Run Way ...
And she goes - HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT (I had already told her I had gone to work).
And I go - cause it was already discussed on the board!
Then I told her she should be here for all the inside poop!
