New website and forum design

So, apparently, this is the new design. Do you guys like it? I do, but I liked the old one better.

Having seen the most recent design, this one feels like it's missing something.

Being a graphic designer and all...
...it sorta hurts my eyes. But It'll grow on me. LOL

I know it's a crude complaint, but I really preferred the old orange of the forum; I know this one matches the cover art orange, but I thought the other one created better contrast with text. That said, the people behind the website did an awesome job building it in the first place, and they know that we still think they're awesome ;)

Color change doesn't bother me, but for a forum, the graphic is WAY TOO BIG!!!

It should be shorter by half (in my graphic designery opinion ;) ), and at least on my screen, it should be a little wider. heh.

Edit: hey look, it changed again! Much better. :D

Well, I just noticed the big BARENAKED LADIES at the top, now - so it doesn't seem so bad to me. I noticed the different color, but what picture? I guess I link right into the posts on my shortcut on the desktop ...

For about 20 minutes there was a GIANT ASS picture. I edited my post when it disappeared. LOL!

I miss the Call & Answer section. I have to say, the band are harder to make contact with since Steve went. He was (and still is) very good at maintaining personal contact with the fans, and was perhaps the driving force behind the Q&A idea.

They were most active on that when they were more or less on hiatus. They are most definitely NOT on hiatus right now. I'll take the album, tour, radio/tv appearances, (potential) cruise.
