Joshua Tabor, a military man and Iraq war veteran, was arrested for waterboarding his 4 year old daughter.
The demented dad was frustrated that the innocent young girl would not recite her ABC's. Waterboarding is the practice of stapping someone to a board and lowering them face-up and upside-down into water which creates the sensation and sheer panic of drowning. The cops where called to Tabor's house for a separate incident when they were tipped off that he beats his daughter. He faces charges of 3rd degree assault on a child.

Fashion Designer Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London home yesterday. A UK new source is reporting that McQueen was found hanged in his apartment leading to speculation that he took his own life. McQueen design skills and reputation earned him recognition and praise from Queen Elizabeth. Lady Gaga, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, and Rihanna are just a few of the names the deceased McQueen designer outfits for. Alexander McQueen was only 40 year old.

This is the first I had read about the circumstances of his death (assuming this story is accurate), which only makes the news sadder.

(CNN) -- The outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness has spread to more passengers on a U.S. cruise ship, with nearly 450 falling sick while at sea, the cruise company said Tuesday.

The Celebrity Cruises ship Mercury departed Charleston, South Carolina, February 15 and headed for the eastern Caribbean, according to a Celebrity Cruises statement. On the way, 419 of the 1,838 passengers fell ill, along with 27 of the 849 crew members, the cruise line said. The number of affected passengers increased from the 353 reported the day before.

Their symptoms included upset stomach, vomiting and diarrhea, Celebrity Cruises spokeswoman Cynthia Martinez said. Guests who were in isolation while ill will receive compensation, she said.

The sickened passengers and crew have been administered over-the-counter medicine and are responding well, Celebrity Cruises said.

But it is still unclear how they became sick, Martinez said.

Medical samples will be sent to a lab for testing Tuesday, she added.

The ship's medical facility first started treating guests Sunday, Martinez said, and by Monday, hundreds of others were sick, too, Celebrity Cruises reported.

A doctor and two nurses joined the cruise medical staff Monday to help with the overload of patients when the ship stopped in Tortola, British Virgin Islands, according to the statement. The ship does not return to Charleston until Friday and will be at sea until then, Martinez said.

To control the outbreak, the crew has stepped up cleaning of the ship, which is advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention when an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness occurs.

Norovirus commonly causes viral gastrointestinal illness outbreaks on cruise ships, the CDC says. It can spread from contact with contaminated food or drink, by touching objects infected by people who are already sickened, or through close contact with people who are infected, according to the CDC.

So far this year, three gastrointestinal illness outbreaks have occurred on cruise ships that docked at a U.S. port, according to the CDC. Norovirus was the cause of two outbreaks on the Mercury in 2009, the CDC reported. The outbreaks reported and investigated by the CDC infected at least 3 percent of the people onboard the cruises carrying at least 100 passengers for anytime between three days to three weeks.

The body of the former "Growing Pains" star was found in a park, according to the source, who spoke to Koenig's father after being informed of the discovery.

First of all, it was an attempt at a joke. Second of all, they DO play with their food - have you seen that video of an Orca playing with a seal? (Speculation is that it was keeping the seal "available" for an offspring to teach it how to hunt.)

Third of all, if you hadn't noticed, I'm a bleeding heart animal rights kind of person. I don't think this whale should be destroyed, either. You work with wild animals like that and these things will happen. But he was sold to the aquarium with the understanding that he wouldn't be used in any shows or be involved with humans. The was after he killed a trainer in B.C. He was supposed to be used for breeding - and he was.

Animal shows bring in money. The claim is that this money goes to significant research and protection of these animals. I'm not so sure about that.

It's against the law in the US to capture wild whales. So, for shows like this, they have to purchase already captured whales or breed the ones they have. They knew the history of Tilicum. He should have never been in a position to hurt anyone.

I am not sure how that is possible.

I knew your comment was meant in a joking manner, but it does raise the question I asked. Yes whales do "play" with their food at times. I guess from the accounts (mind you they are varied and inconsistent) it does not appear he was doing that.

I also believe that anyone that works with animals like this one know the risks, and while it makes it no less sad about the result, to me it does explain why the whale should not be "blamed" in the sense of punishing him.

I think we're at sort of a "baby boomer" time for public figures. That initial wave of the 50's and 60's when TV, movies and music just exploded in volume, proliferating our society at an exponetially high rate vs. prior eras. Those figures are all aging out right now and passing on. The number of public figures alive today is HUGE and growing with the information age, so it seems to follow that the number of public figures dying each week would increase as well.

Either that or its a curse, like a bad horror movie.... I say, keep the thread going until we nab Alec Baldwin.

I understand Leonard Nimoy should be next, according to betting types.

OK there is something rather disturbing to me with people betting on who will die next. :)

Why did I think Richard Dawson was already dead?!

He isn't?? I think Gary might be bluffing.

I'm betting on Dino de Laurentis, mostly because he's approixmately 9,000 years old.

Can I bet on Sean Penn? Or is that just wishful thinking...

Hah! Maybe he and Hugo Chavez could, I dunno, trip down a flight of steps together?

They would have to be pretty high steps. Otherwise the only result would be a Chavez castration and a Penn broken jaw.

Fess was a Disney Legend. RIP.

Put together a half decent winery too, up in the Solvang area where they filmed "Sideways" I believe. Kind of weird to think of "Fess Parker Wines" as being high quality, but apparently once you pry the coon skin out of the bottle, it's mighty tasty.

Den I am not a wine drinker, but I have always heard good stuff about his wine. I wonder if they have a coon skin cap on the label?

Apparently they do!
