Got my tickets today...who else is going to this show? Did anyone buy the VIP packages? I just couldn't justify paying $100+ more for each ticket to get a little bit closer on a lawn that doesn't have any seats!! I'm anxious to hear what anyone else decided to do?

We are going! We did not buy the VIP package either! Saved that for another venue that was not GA!

Very excited to see them in an outside venue again; I have seen them a few times in this format and always liked the feel. That might be just me though.... :D

We are going - but I agree. Too much to pay for festival type atmosphere. There really isn't even a place to sit at Innsbrook - you just sort of mill around.

I don't need another t-shirt and laminate - I haven't even got the LR package yet.

cay in case you have not read the post about the LR Package............the official word is that since it includes a copy of AIGT they will start going out when the album is released.

They are offering the Gold Circle seating for this event - about 500 seats close to the stage - $40 versus $22 lawn - well worth it since we will have our 8 year old with us! I am flying in from a required business trip arriving 2:30pm - I am a bit worried about delays but what can you do? All booked!

Cay - we did the same thing! LR had told me GC was sold out when I went to buy thru them, but I got them thru the venue on Friday!!

June can not get here soon enough! :D

My husband and I will be there! I did not get VIP tickets - too expensive. I ended up getting Gold Circle tickets which, from the sound of it, will get us closer than VIP tickets anyway. Looking forward to June!! :D

Why do you say that about the VIP tickets? I thought VIP was in GC too?

Oh, are they? I thought the show was all general admission and that VIP would only get you early admission. I guess I misunderstood the different kinds of tickets available for this show. :o I saw Gold Circle tickets available on their website for $40 so I purchased two.

Actually, I bought the $40 GC thru the Ladies Room link yesterday. But, I know of at least one person that called Artist Events during the pre-sale and were told that the only way to get the GC was to pay for the $125-$150 VIP packages so they bought the $22 GA seats - and she is pissed! She is going to call this morning and try to get it straight...

The Innsbrook website said GC was 400-600 seats that were offered on a first come first serve basis. So maybe there are first 5 rows or something for VIP packages, then the rest first come first serve?

I had a similar experience! I bought what I thought was GC thru LR the first day, then figured out they were regular GA. I called LR and they told me there were no GC left and pretty much I should be happy with what I got! I think not! Mind you, this was within 30 minutes of the tickets going on sale!! I talked to the venue and they told me that they would have GC tickets availble Friday, so I bought those! I don't understand how you got GC thru LR yesterday if they told me they were sold out Tuesday?!?!?!

I have not been able to get a good answer out of the venue as to how the VIP vs regular GC tickets are going to work, but I continue to work on that! ;)

It's me...I'm the one that is PISSED at Artist Arena. Jeannie, I also bought what I thought should have been GC general admission tix when they went on sale. It was probably about 15-20 minutes from when the sale started. When I got the confirmation it did not say Gold Circle so I immediately called AA and was told that the ONLY way to get GC was to buy a VIP package. The person I spoke with said they did not have any GC tickets to sell without the VIP pkg. I asked if the VIP was seated and was told no, it was just a roped off area that you were not assigned a seat, it just allowed you to get closest to the front of the stage. They also allow you earlier admission (for the meet & greet) so you'll get first chance a picking where your spot in GC is. I'm sorry, but to me I was not paying $125 vs $22 for each ticket for that. I called them back today and was basically told "too bad". They were sorry I felt that I had been misled but they could not refund my tickets and they could not upgrade me to GC. My only option is to buy four more tickets now that they are on sale to the general public and then try to sell the pre-sale ones. I'm not going to do that because the pre-sale have to be picked up at will call. That would just be too complicated! I could just eat the cost, but don't really want to do that either...not for totally outdoor venue. So, I'm just going to have fun with all the other fans there and know better the next time. I don't blame the band, I blame the promoters! It really sucks that they didn't allow the fan club members to buy GC without the VIP package. I feel punished for being a fan club member. Thanks for letting me vent everyone!
