That's Bacon thread got me thinking. BNL talks about food a lot!! I was thinking we could compile the food joints that BNL has talked about on stage over the years....It might be fun to have a big list of BNL food recommendations!! It could even come in handy if you have any travel coming up! LOL!

Please make sure you include the city and a link!!! (and maybe even your own review of the place?!)

FUN! :D

Shwartz's Deli (http://www.schwartzsdeli.com/index2.html) is often mentioned at Montreal shows. Its world famous smoked meat sandwiches are soooo yummy!

And it's pretty close to Metropolis, for those of you going to the Montreal, April 30th show :P

Oh it's alllll about Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester or Syracuse...

Every time they play Blue Cross Arena (which is across the bridge from Dinosaur, walking distance), I see a roadie head to the buses with 2 big shopping bags of take-out after the show. LOL!

What's that stuff up in the Buffalo area? Beef on Wick or something like that?

The few times they played Mohegan, they'd always talk about Big Bubba's BBQ (http://www.mohegansun.com/dining/big-bubbas-bbq.html). Don't know how exceptional it is, but it's known for huge servings.

Beef on 'Weck. Short for Kimmelweck. A type of roll with caroway seeds (is that what they are called?) and salt. Lots of salt on it. I LOVE IT!! Unsure where BNL has mentioned/eaten there for I haven't *lived* there in over 15 years :(

Not sure if they have mentioned *this* place.. but it's mmm mmm good! http://schwabls.com/

OMG I forgot Nick's. How can I leave out a Rochester staple, the GARBAGE PLATE?! Dumbass.

(though I go to the spin-off, Steve T's, on Lyell Ave -- used to be Nick's, bought out by his nephew, so still in the family... though both Steve and Nick are gone from this earth... RIP)

Yup! After a pilgrimage to House of Guitars, no less. LOL! Cliche trip to Rochester for a rock star? :D But he went to Irondequoit Hots, which isn't part of the Nick's family... on the other hand, you can get a plate just about anywhere here... even at the ballpark. LOL!

I was getting ready to yell at you for forgetting Nick's. They blamed the failure of the ferry on the Garbage Plate.

The Red Arrow is a staple in Manch-Vegas for celebs / politicians to visit. They serve your typical "dinah" food, and I would have to agree, it is most tasty! When I worked at the TV station, we used to send our reporters there for our "pulse of the people" stories! :D

When they were in Cleveland in 2006, they mentioned Slyman's deli. Love their huge corned beef sandwiches!

There is. And it's yummy! I lived about a 10-minute walk from there... It was almost always busy, but the food was so worth it. The food was also worth the somewhat scary walk through the warehouses of South Harlem... :D

Last time I saw them at the PNC Arts Center in NJ (2006, maybe? Jeez), they did a whole rap thing about having a police escort and eating donuts in the van, with flaky crumbs everywhere. No discussion about where the donuts came from, though, if I recall correctly. Pretty sure that was the Au Naturel tour.
