What does that spell? BACON!!!!!! :D
Since the last bacon thread, I've found a local meat store where I can get this absolutely incredible thick cut bacon for $2.79/lb. Anyone coming to visit is going to get "Billionaire Bacon", (which I think I have ReallyMzungu to thank for). That is where you cook the bacon on stoneware in the oven, and you sprinkle some brown sugar on it while it's cooking. It is so delicious, it's not even funny! :)

But I finally found something that's close to what I had at a friend's BBQ once - Bacon Crackers (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Bacon-Crackers/Detail.aspx) Except she used the square crackers and put the piece of bacon cut to the size of the cracker so that when they were done they were fused together - with brown sugar as well. OOoooh man were they yummy. :D

Sounds like it would make a glaze similar to what I had at the MN State Fair this summer. It was a 1/3 lb. slab of thick cut bacon with a sugar glaze on a stick. Really good.
Also good, chocolate covered bacon, another State Fair find.

Does the brown sugar make the bacon really sweet?
I like to keep my sweet and savoury separate as a rule, but I might try baking bacon without the brown sugar if it's less messy than frying.

If you like it when you eat pancakes and some of the syrup gets on the bacon, you'll like it.

Okay. Don't tell anyone. This is a secret.
Our new boss at work has given up bacon for Lent. So the worker's plan is to have a Food Day. (Food Day spread is right next to bosses desk.) And we'll sign up for things like "Dessert" or "Some type of bread," but when the day arrives: each dish will contain bacon!
I'm bringing the recipe that has the brown-sugar crusted bacon. Did I see that here?
