That's great!

I really like the shot of Jim standing behind the neck of his bass.

My dad sent me a text to tell me he was seeing them playing on TV. I replied that I was jealous. Then he told me that they were in town to promote their new album. :)

How cute - my dad thought he was 'surprising' me with 'news'. :D

What exactly is the "BNL belt?"

What exactly is the "BNL belt?"

One would assume that they mean place(s) where BNL don't get a lot of airtime.

shell i think that is backward. I think that the BNL belt is the area that traditionally gets more BNL live love! I might be wrong, but that is what it means to me. Think Boston, Detroit, in the US.

Well Boston to Buffalo (And from Portland ME down to NYC or Philly) used to be considered the Barenaked Belt, based on the sheer volume of concerts that used to take place within that region. Outside of when Stunt was big, radio play has always been a bit uneven though. Some stations play BNL nonstop, while others almost never play them.

However, I'd argue that in the past two years, the belt has shifted over to between Buffalo/Toronto out to Detroit & Chicago. We've had 1 or 2 shows recently, but other than that, nothing--save one LI fundraiser that apparently was quite the experience.

I just realized that I had it backwards. Hey, at least you didn't tell me to grow a pair:D

You Run Away is playing right now on 98.9 WCLZ... i've been streaming it since yesterday's interview. I love this station so much, I'd consider moving to Portland! ;)

Lara did a great job with the interview, you can tell she's been a fan for YEARS. :)
