Anyone here headed to the show in Biloxi on Saturday?

I'll be there, with or without my regular concert buddy who had major surgery two weeks ago. We're keeping our fingers crossed that she'll be able to make the trip.

If not, I'm ditching her and going by myself. Really, she understands. :D

I really tried to make it to that show, but the airfare was just too expensive for me. It actually was almost half as much to travel out to Vail as it would have been to go to Biloxi. Hope you have a great time! :D

I will be there! Can't wait!

Funny thing, DaWezl, airfare for me to go to Biloxi was cheaper than Vail (and you can bet I looked, I really wanted to go!). It was more than 2x as expensive to fly to Vail!

I'll be there by myself. I'm taking my mom over for a couple of days. We're staying at IP Friday and Saturday. She won't be coming to the show, can't stand for GA. If it were assigned seating, I would have gotten her a ticket.
What time is everyone getting there?

So, did anyone else notice the N.O. show that was added for tomorrow night? Register with mix 92.3 to win tickets. (link on the but tickets tab under shows)

I saw the N.O. show. I'm bummed that I can't be off work tomorrow night. :(

I'm waiting on my friend's doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon to find out if she's coming or not. I'm driving into Biloxi sometime early afternoon, staying at Hard Rock that night.

I read that doors open for GA at 6:30 p.m., so I'll probably be checking things out around that time. Funny though, my ticket says GA, standing only, but it also has a row and seat number. Never been to Hard Rock, so I have no idea what's up with that.

Well, I have an extra ticket for the Biloxi BNL show on Saturday night. Anyone interested, just sent me a PM.

That sucks. Sorry that your friend isn't feeling well enough to go. :(

Yeah, she's bummed. I'll just have to report back to her, and we'll have to hit some of the shows next year. :D

Show was great (of course :D). Great to hear the new songs, which I'd been trying to avoid until the record comes out 'cause I'm weird like that, along with some older songs ("What a Good Boy," "Blame It On Me"). The guys looked like they were having a great time, which - to me - was the most awesome thing to see.

My friend got to listen to the show courtesy of my cell for about 40 minutes. :D I mean, technically, she did have a ticket.

Someone threw the biggest bra I EVER have seen on the stage during "Pinch Me." My ass coulda fit in one of the cups on this thing. It was an incredible feat of boobical engineering.

All in all, the show got me stoked (even more) for the new record and planning some concert trips for the new year.

I posted some pics here (http://forum.barenakedladies.com/album.php?albumid=4) . Do enjoy!

I have to say, that was the best Christmas gift I've ever been given. My wife surprised me with tickets for me and my cousin, plus a dinner reservation at Carnivale de Brazil at the IP. This is the first BNL concert I've seen and I hope it's not the last chance I'll get, either. Awesome show.

I was at both NO and Biloxi! Front and center both times! The guys rocked both shows!

NO was truly amazing because it was REALLY acoustic! No drums for Ty! He was on the little stand drum (sorry, I don't know the name) for the whole set. The show was short (only 7 songs) but it was a blast!

Biloxi was a longer set (19 or 20 songs, if I remember) and was just as amazing! There was a nice mix of old and new stuff! Ed totally rocked WAGB, I am so glad I finally got to hear that in person!

I have the setlist for NO somewhere in my luggage and a pic of the list for Biloxi on my camera. I will try to get them posted soon!

Cool Christmas present! I told myself this was my Christmas present to myself. :D

I'm curious - how well attended was the Biloxi show?

I wanted to go to the N.O. show so bad since they rarely - if ever - get down this way. Couldn't get off work though.

As far as I could tell, it was well attended! I was in the front row of the front standing section, and all I could see was people behind me! Don't know if they filled the standing area, but it seemed pretty crowded! I could not see the reserved seats in the balcony, so I can't speak for how full those were!

I didn't see the balcony either, but I was in the very front of the rear section and it looked to be nearly 10 deep all the way behind me.

Edit- I should probably add the following disclaimer: I am awful when it comes to estimating anything. It was still a good crowd, though.

Judging by the trash on the floor - there was quite a crowd. I was actually impressed with the turnout AND the early line to get in.

Was the front standing section full? I could not see all the way to the back with all the people!

That really is quite impressive, considering it is Biloxi. :) (And lest anyone wonder, I'm VERY familiar with the are, having been to the base there about 20 times in the last 18 years.)

I'm willing to bet there were more (comped) casino tickets than die-hard fans, but I'm still happy to hear there was such a good showing. :)

Hopefully the good turnout will convience the guys to come South more often! :p

I can't speak for all the people, but I know that most of the people around me were true fans, and VERY excited to be there! Being that most of us live outside the Barenaked Belt, most of the Southern states were represnted that night!!

There was a gap between the crowd and the rail, for sure. Not a huge one, though.

The same for the people around me, that I noticed. Next time, though, they could use a venue on a college campus somewhere. Maybe one that's got a lot of SRO space, some balcony seating, and is about 5 minutes up the road from me... :)

I was impressed that there were FANS there, not just folks wandering in off the smoky casino floor. :D I met a couple from Texas who had been on the last cruise, and another couple (not sure from where) who were huge fans. Thanks to them, I now know that one of the piano players at Jellyrolls at Disney World is a BNL fan. I plan to check this out on my next trip. :D

Can't remember what Ed was saying at the time, but I got a really good laugh when someone on the floor yelled out, "Snacktime!"

Yes! I heard that too and got a chuckle! What was he talking about? I can't remember!

The Saints hat that he wore for a little bit there in the beginning came from the guy standing behind me. When he tossed it back, I almost gotten taken out!

Ed was talking about scrabble and he started listing off "Q" words - so it was QAT that got the snacktime comment!

You should all be impressed now - I NEVER remember the details of the adlibs!!! But I heart board games... And snacktime!!!

I'm kinda proud of myself for knowing the word Qat before he said it. The rest, though... I've got nothing. :)

So, it turns out I have this whole Scrabble / Qat thing on video! Probably should have watch my videos before now! ;)

Here is the link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glrSEX9zXbY

There are also a bunch of other videos from that show up there, so please do have a look!
