The Q&A section also said to e-mail them if you didn't get an e-mail yourself. I recommend you do this, since maybe they didn't think anyone "overseas" would buy a ticket..
I know, I did!
;)
I let you know what they answer me.
Since it says somewhere, that you have to enter your zip code when downloading, I assume it might be impossible that they give me a code for a free download.
(otherwise I mess up the # of sales in the US or Canada)

Well, the small print of the VIP packages says:
"...Disclaimer: 4 Ticket limit. Tickets are Will Call Only. Offer is limited to US and Canadian shipping addresses only. Please note that package merchandise may be shipped after the show date. Merchandise is not needed for entry to the show. Collectible laminate is commemorative only and does not gain or authorize access into the venue or backstage areas. You will be contacted via email approximately one week prior to show date with more information regarding your VIP package elements and meet & greet (Barenaked Package)."
Although, I would think if they are unable to fulfill any portion of the offer for international orders, then they shouldn't have accepted the order from an international shipping address to begin with.

That would be awesome Jen!
Thanks a lot!
:D:)
I definitely want the songs as soon as possible.
If getting downloads at release date, I would not buy the physical CD b/c I will get one as part of my London Barenaked VIP package.
Though if I don't get downloads I would pre-order a CD from Amazon.ca.
(orders from there are usually in Switzerland within a week, so I even might get it before the US release).
I let you know once I hear back from the Puretracks guys.
No problem - I know you paid for it twice (with two concerts) so you deserve to get it. And it would be easy for me to email you the tracks too - no point in waiting for it! :)
And if - as jojomc pointed out above - they won't ship your stuff to you - let me know. They can ship it to my address in the US and if it's here prior to London I'll bring it with me to the show and if it shows up after you are back I can ship it to you. There are ways around this crazy US/Canada restriction if necessary -- particularly to get what you have already paid for!

LOL! I totally did not read the small print.
You are right, if VIP is only for US and Canadian residents, they should not have accepted my order at all.
Let's see what I end up with. Hopefully I can still attend the Meet & Greet (I would not expect them to ship THAT to me anyways!) and hopefully I can keep my good seat for the London show. (I do not care about my VIP seat for the Kingston show, as I got a much better seat.)

Thank you so much for your kind offer!
I will write an email to Artist Arena, to find out what the deal is with mailing stuff and if I am eligible at all to receive it although VIP packages are not supposed to be for international customers.
BTW: I paid 3 times for the download (1 ticket for the London show, 2 tickets for the Kingston show; all come with a free download). Though of course I see it as an extra gift, not something I paid for.

The free download of the AIGT album is only for Americans and Canadians!
(just in case somebody else from overseas purchased tickets to the Canadian tour)
This is the answer to my question regarding this from Puretracks:
Dear Barbara,
Thank you for contacting us.
We have received the answer from our administration team, the album download and bonus track download will only be available within Canada and USA. International customers will not be able to redeem the album.
Sincerely,
Puretracks Customer Service
In case this email does not fully answer your question, or you would like to contact us for any reason, simply reply to this email.

Boo! But seriously remind me and I'll email you it. You did pay for it! Although as a US person I can only download it on 3/30 while those in Canada will be able to get it on 3/23.

As a buddy of mine speculated (and I think he's probably right): The FAQ says that they need your zip/postal for soundscan... and you have only the first week in which to get the bonus track... if you redeem a download, it's probably going to count as a digital album sale and they want as many as possible to go down the first week for charting purposes. So I guess one way to look at it is that they lose out if you can't download it. Another way to look at it is that they are considering it a sale, so I guess they are considering you to have paid for it.
Yet another way to look at it is, even if you guys go buy the CD physically, or there's an itunes presale, or you have 3 or 4 tickets, and therefore 3 or 4 downloads, or something else... if you want to help the guys chart - make sure you use all your downloads because it looks like it may well go towards the charts.

Ya know, I completely forgot about the download when buying tickets. Marie's getting a download too b/c I don't need 2 of them. ;)
