Obviously no artwork for All In Good Time has been released yet, but what kind of album artwork would you like? Are Me/Are Men style, or some Kevin artwork, or some old style covers like Gordon, MYSD or BOAPS? I would love to see either a cover with the guys actually on it, or a nice Kevin cover.

I think I'd like one with a picture of the four of them on there.....

I've always enjoyed the BLAM/BLAMen covers. It was fun looking for little pitcures that represented the songs.

Either that, or Kevin's artwork is always interesting.

It will probably be something related to the cover for "You Run Away", which can be seen here (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ac/Yourunawaysinglecover.gif) if you have not seen it yet.

That looks like an album cover if I ever saw one!

It's entirely possible that the cover will be in the same vein, although it's (give or take) equally common for the cover of a single (even the first single) to have little resemblance or relevance to the album itself.

For example, here is the first single from "This Is Us" by the Backstreet Boys:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/ec/Straight_through_my_heart.jpg/200px-Straight_through_my_heart.jpg

I bring this one up, because this album came to mind as soon as I saw the BNL single cover:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e5/This_is_us.jpg/200px-This_is_us.jpg

I kind of hope BNL don't use this movie-marquee style of cover for at least the reason that it's been done. It's also thought it was interesting that the cover was done by another five-piece that recently had a member leave the group (though this was their second album as a four-piece).

Stunt and Maroon's single covers were all similar themed to the album concept (at least most of them were - there were a few alternate singles with covers more related to the booklet photoshoot for maroon). Whereas Another Postcard's had nothing to do with E2E's, nor did any of the single covers that preceeded Stunt.

First BNL/Backstreet Boys reference I ever heard.

I agree that it's been done before (no pun intended), but man it's refreshing to see some less polished artwork from them. They've been getting increasingly glossy and animated and airbrushed in the past few albums so I like some realism... Although to be fair, this particular picture evokes a mental image for me of an early 90s indie garage type band and not so much an early 2010s AAA band.

I totally get your latter statement. I think the "shot on the street in black and white" kind of cover is pretty "low-tech" and thus, can evoke a very low-cost, gritty album, which I don't think fits the kind of music that is on the record...

The last time I really liked a BNL album cover was E2E (ok, maybe Holidays was a nice look). I don't mind artistic covers, but I don't really like "big mess of random images" that was BLAM (though I DID enjoy the fact that they stuck with a visual theme throughout BLAM, BLAMen, and song-by-song releases and liners represented by images from that big cluster. I like artsy covers more when there is a relevance to the album (eg: 2nd Gordon (ball), and the Maroon cover that is at least Maroon-coloured... though I admit that Maroon seems like the kind of cover I WOULDN'T like, and yet I always thought it fit the album.

All of this said "group photo" covers are pretty well covered in the world of music, so there really has to be some uniqueness to a group photo cover to get my attention (like E2E's aligned profiles, white flag AND the fact that it was a painting, not a photo.)

They look like they're on the look out for take-away food.

I liked Pink Floyd's "the Wall" for it's simplicity
I also liked the Beatles' White Album for it's simplicity too.

... BNL simple theme?

A white album with Tyler's kick drum sitting there, softly shadowed (the one with the number 4 on it) with the name of the album and the band name.

Simple.

Please god, no "4" references on the cover. We know there's 4 of them!

I do like the "You Run Away" art work. I wonder when we will see the album's cover. Hopefully soon!

I like the You Run Away single cover, but I do have to say it is not as unique as say Blam. But I think it might attract "non-fans" to pick it up.................which is why it matters what the cover looks like at all.

I completely agree.

I've liked every album cover of theirs and they have all been so different over the years. I have faith that the new one will awesome.

I'll still buy it, though, even if it isn't.

Simple but striking... and those four lights... intentional or a lucky accident?

I assume you are talking about the one with them standing on the street. It is a nice shot but not my favorite one. That header seems to rotate between several.

I did the splash page for the site, and I threw it together from components they gave me. It is NOT the album cover. It is only a splash page to announce the tour.

There is nothing in the lights, I had to dim one to make the band name pop. There were many other lights in the orginal image, but I had to crop it to make it fit in the composition.

In other words - CALM DOWN people and don't read something into every single thing :p

The image IS cool! :D

I always found BLAM/en too busy, I prefer simple. I really like the image for YRA. I'd like to see something with their photo on the cover. Whatever they do, as long as it's not super-busy I'm sure I'll love it.

Read the text and not the writer; look to the design and not the designer. Still, please excuse my 'Hey, look! Paul isn't wearing any shoes, he must be dead!' moment. ;)
