Thought I would start a thread to track what radio shows the band is going to be playing over the next few weeks! The publicity on these seems to be hit or miss, so any info people have to share would be appreciated!

PS I am really hoping for one in NC, SC or VA!

I'd say the reason why we're not hearing about the show was because it was the "general public who don't post here" who ended up winning 99% of the tickets than the fans on here.

For the Fresno show, you could only get tickets thru the radio station (Y101) by being whatever number caller when they decide to give a pair of tickets away.....which sucked. So there was no knowledge of anything needed except a speed dial button to try to win (and yes, I tried....A LOT). In fact, the last time I tried to win on Friday I got right on the phone right as they were starting to talk about the band. Right after the DJ said they were giving away 2 tickets now to the 10th caller, the radio station picked up and someone on the other end said "Wow, you're fast. You're caller number 1". :( Then hung up. It was funny yet... I dunno.

I just saw the Albany show tonight and it was amazing. I've actually never had a chance to see BNL in concert before and to see them up close and personal, has spoiled me forever. They were literally 5 feet from me the whole time... what an experience. Here are some small web friendly images. Enjoy! Great show last night. It was an acoustic show and lasted about an hour.

This was the first time we have seen the band since the cruise last year, kind of ironic it was one year to the day since the last night of last years cruise.

I really enjoyed the new arrangements of the old "Steven" songs. Ed does a great job with them.

I am really getting excited about the new stuff. You Run Away is an amazing song and was great last night.

Would love to see if anyone kept a set list. I tried; but, didn't think of it soon enough so I gave up.

So, the bowling alley recording/show is for a different radio station? Seems like you could actually listen to the radio for good music in Portland.

The kink.fm interview (link above) is a good listen. It includes a clear sounding and nice performance of You Run Away. Before it, they talk about how they are liking BNL 2.0, and that they struggled with picking YRA as a single. They knew interviewers would want to talk about Steve leaving anyway, regardless of which single they chose, so they might as well face it head on. "Is Steve the Chimpanze... or the Postcard?"

The bowling alley show was thru 105.1 The Buzz. I had no clue that this was even happening until yesterday morning.....REALLY wanted to go, but we had other plans that I could not get out of.

For anyone in greater Cleveland, the q104 registration process is very confusing. First, you have to sign up for their "q Club" which is very weird, because you can't ever again log IN to the q Club- you have to go through the whole registration screen again every time you would normally log in.

Then, when you register to win the BNL tickets (after registering for the q Club), there's no indication as to whether you've successfully registered or not- it just basically stays on the same screen.

Also, there's no indication anywhere as to how/when they will be picking or notifying winners.

Finally, I emailed the station to ask some of those questions, and I haven't gotten any response.

I'll let you know if I do.

The Drive's Studio D setup is similar... I e-mailed them a couple times to figure out what the heck was going on. Not much info on the site, let me tell you!

But thankfully, it worked out for me! I'm headed downtown for a 5pm BNL show tonight! :D

If it continues to work similarly, a few days before the show (in my case, the Friday before a Monday show), they send out an e-mail with a winner's list. Then, they e-mail each winner individually with details (when to be where, with photo ID). The "register to win" for BNL specifically came out on a Wednesday, and as I mentioned, I knew on Friday that I was in. :)

That's good to know- q104 is operating under the same "no details" policy! In this case, the show is this Friday, so I might have another 72 hours of waiting before I find out how they plan on pulling this off.

My hope is that their total lack of organization will translate to less people requesting tickets.

I won concert tickets for the Au Naturale tour from a radio station - had to go to the station to pick them up. They were "lawn" tickets. (at a nice amphitheatre in Auburn, but still ...). Fortunately, I'd already purchased tickets - 11th row.

Well, it TOTALLY worked out! Super thanks to NurseShmoo. Forget Annie Frank- you are my Miracle Worker. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So, we arrived at the TINY venue (100 people tops), and I took 4 year old Gracie as my date...as soon as the q104 people saw us, they said "she's so cute! You guys should sit in the front row!" Uh...all righty...

So, the show itself was primarily new stuff, including You Run Away and All in Good Time and 2 or 3 others of which I don't know the names, with Pinch Me, For You, and One Week (bluegrass style) throw in. It was awesome and the new stuff sounds amazing- even without Ty, they are so much tighter and crisper than they were the last time I heard them sans Steve (which was the Universal recording). They absolutely sound like a different band, but a GREAT different band. It's like if you took the humor, energy, and pleasure of a regular BNL show, multiplied by a few hundred and then slightly changed the musical style.

Now, here's what made it possibly the best BNL show ever: at some point early on, it became the BNL/Gracierulez show. And the audience I think loved it. After Pinch Me, Grace announced (of course) that she had to go potty. We got up and based on where we were sitting, we had to walk RIGHT past the band. Jim said "hardest working dad in the room, folks" and as we were walking out of the studio, I could hear Ed saying "she actually knows the words! I can see her mouthing along to the lyrics!" We came back and after Ed had a brief conversation with her ("everything go okay in there?" "I went potty" "I know"), I said it was her birthday, and he told her she could request any song she wanted to hear. Some other guy (who, having overheard him before the show, knew NOTHING about the band) said "it's my girlfriend's birthday too!" so I turned around and said "really? Is she four?"... Kev suggested War Pigs, but they went with Raisins and he played the whole thing, singing right to my freaking daughter. It was surreal, actually. When he got done singing he said "happy birthday, honey, we played that just for you". And the he turned to the woman and said "and ma'am, for your birthday, we played that song just for her". Brilliant.

After the show, they took photos with everyone in the audience, and I think they'll be up on q104's website at some point. Also, q104 interviewed us, so I'll try to find that too.

What a birthday for my little one- the guys are still the nicest, classiest guys in all of music, hands down.
