Three years ago, today.....

We set sail, out of Fort Lauderdale, on the first S&D cruise. :)

I have so many fond memories of that trip. All the excitement and not knowing what to expect.....Like the band photo(and waiting hours to get on the ship) The sail away show, running into all of the band, all over the ship....I could go on and on.

I can't believe that 3 years ahs gone by !

Three years ago!! that blows my mind!! What a fun time. And the thing that made it even better, was all the new friends I have met along the way because of it!! :)

That first Sail Away show as we left Ft. Lauderdale blew my mind. I will never forget that "wow, what are we in for?" feeling.... and all the people we met who are now a part of my life !

Ah, the memories.

One of my funniest happened before we even left Florida - the drunk guy who crashed the line for burgers at the party the night before at the hotel. He was so happy to be there, although he really didn't know where "there" was. :D

I remember it well. Patty and I were wandering around the boat at one point, when I heard what I thought was a BNL cover band, so we made our way to the music and were flabbergasted by the sail away show, after previously being flabbergasted by the guys posing with each and every one of us for the picture. It was also nifty to make so many new pals, most of whom are still pals, despite my obvious dickishness.

Definitely not. Since finding this thread, realizing it indeed is Jan. 15 and looking at the S&D poster still hanging on the wall beside my desk, it's all I've been thinking about for the past hour or so.

I found myself listening to the Sail Away show and remembering where I was on the deck. I've got a binder with schedules, blog entries, and photos that I looked at last night. It kinda hurt with no S&D this year, but it was a good hurt, if that makes sense.
