ok, now I heard it. First reaction is I like the song. But, I want to wait to hear more new songs before I judge the new sound. This song seems more serious than in the past and one of the things I love about Barenaked Ladies is the lighter twists on topics. For me, that takes them from a bad I like to a band I love. One song is not enough for me to judge on. But, I do like the song.

I believe that refers to radio stations -- how many added the song to their playlists. So that's good news - I know one station here in Detroit (technically a Windsor ON station) is playing it :)

A co-worker of mine (who is a casual fan) told me she heard the single on the radio the other day... though she couldn't recall what station it was (either 100.5 The Drive here in Rochester, or The Lake out of Buffalo... my money's on The Lake, frankly). They are not independent anymore. EMI probably keeps this info good and tight, but I wouldn't worry, EMI is one of the good labels. You'll get to have it too. :cool:

I know they're not independent any more - a few people have Tweeted @ EMI too and I have sent emails asking. I'm not too fussed about it, it just would have been nice to have an indication of whether to expect it in iTunes at midnight or not. :)
