For the first time since Disc 1, there has (apparently) been a songbook released for a BNL album (All in Good Time)

I have no idea if their songbooks are any good in terms of accuracy, but it's nice to see a new songbook for the guys.

Edit: In fact, it claims to be a guitar tab book; something BNL has never done. Interesting. There's actually a sample of YRA (http://www.alfred.com/samplepages/00-37309_02.pdf)

Capo is right; interestingly, they credit all four guys for writing, while I'm pretty sure AIGT only credits Ed. I note the copyright is WB Music and Treat Baker. I thought that they ditched Treat Baker for this album.

My first thought is that the intro riff is wrong; I've never noticed Ed to walk down the D string on that riff (just confirmed it on youtube); could be an error, or could be that they are tabbing it out so it sounds better for solo play. Not sure. Typo on "I tried to be our brother".

I'm guessing that this is not like BOAPS' songbook, the only one that appears to have had guidance from band members themselves.

Yup, it's legit. I bought it. I could scan the pages and send them to you if you want. Or anyone else here that wants it, for that matter. I'm not an awesome guitarist, so I can't play complicated songs like I Have Learned, but what I can play from it sounds dead on. So, it's overall very accurate.

So much for "expertly transcribed". :p

I think it is crediting all four guys for writing the music to the song, not the lyrics. I could be wrong, however. All the songs have Ed, Kev, Jim, and Ty as credited writers. But yeah, you're right about Treat Baker. BNL have changed labels quite a few times, but most don't really pay attention to that. They probably just looked at Gordon and said "Oh yeah, they're with Treat Baker" as opposed to actually researching.

Promise I'll scan it for you guys soon, just been busy and it's a lot of pages to scan (69 or so). Whether or not it is exactly how BNL play it, it sounds identical. It is very thorough, as well. A lot of music books I have seen either just has the chords or tabs. This has the chords, tabs, and it shows the finger positions. On top of that, it shows the piano tabs as well. Also, for songs in a different tuning (Such as "Ordinary", which is in DADGBD tuning I believe) it shows how to play it in standard tuning. That might be the only song not in standard tuning, don't remember. Not sure about most music books, but of the ones I've seen they are not nearly as thorough as this one. Will most likely scan it tonight! Allan, you should do some more guitar lessons ;)

i'd personally love to see it.. couldn't play it if my life depended on it.... only ever saw the sheet music to "shoe box"... piano tabs..?? neat. my guitar skills are limited to classical guitar, - though i did major in piano..hmmmm. learn to play "on the lookout" without having to do a transcription sounds like less effort on my end...

Treat Baker was a publisher, not a label; but I see no reason they'd pull out some album they WEREN'T doing a songbook for and check instead of checking the correct one.

Also, note that that a CD's writing credit is for both music and words (lots of old BNL songs have credits Lyrics: X Music: XYZ - 'I Love You' is the first one that comes to mind). If The music was credited to all, they'd be credited on the album (that's how they get royalties...)
