Democrats point fingers after stunning loss

I am sure the democrats would have not claimed a hand if she had won either! I am certain they would have come out and said "We had nothing to do with the win, it was her superior campaign!"

Funny I did not say a word about Obama. I was speaking about the Democratic party.

The smiley was duly noted before I responded.
Also, mine was merely a statement of fact to make sure my initial post was not misintrepreted.

What happened to a really good day on Wall Street because the Republican won the election in Mass (even tho the trading closed before the election was closed)?
And then the day after the election ...
Those FOX newsy guys will try to pass anything off as a good thing for the republicans and a bad thing for democrats ...

Weed, Tuesday was in no uncertain terms a very very good day for the Republicans and a bad day for the Democrats.
FYI: the markets have been down the last 2 days because China is changing their banking policies and it's causing fears that worldwide growth might be slowed.

Yeah, I know - but some of the news pundits were trying to say the markets were UP because of this election, even tho the outcome had not been decided yet ... then then, stocks actually took a dive the next day ... which, if they were so connected to the election, wouldn't that have been a bad thing for the republicans?

Yes...and if I had a dollar for every time I tried to patiently explain to my clients how little relationship there was between daily market performance and most things political, I'd be a millionaire.
If a Chinese banker farts, it has more impact on the market than Scott Brown's election.
Now, there is one area where his election helped the market: most pharmaceutical stocks are at a 52 week high.

the Blonde Stewardess
A lawyer boarded an airplane in New Orleans with a box of frozen crabs and asked a blonde stewardess to take care of them for him. She took the box and promised to put it in the crew's refrigerator. He advised her that he was holding her personally responsible for them staying frozen, mentioning in a very haughty manner that he was a lawyer, and proceeded to rant at her about what would happen if she let them thaw out. Needless to say, she was annoyed by his behavior.
Shortly before landing in New York , she used the intercom to announce to the entire cabin, "Would the gentleman who gave me the crabs in New Orleans , please raise your hand?"
Not one's hand went up .... so she took them home and ate them.
Two lessons here:
1. Lawyers aren't as smart as they think they are.
2. Blondes aren't as dumb as most folks think

Can John Edwards' Dreadful Image Be Rehabilitated?
That was a headline on time.com http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1956245,00.html?cnn=yes&hpt=C2. It got me thinking, is it possible to rehabilitate an image? I am not talking about how over time our memories might fade somewhat, and how sometimes good events can help overshadow bad ones, but I am thinking really rehabilitate an image. I am not sure it can occur. What are your thoughts?

I would say yes, you can, based on the severity of what you've done and how sincerely hard you attempt to make amends and rectify what you've done wrong.
In John Edwards case, this is impossible.

It was way, way beneath the dignity of the office of the presidency to criticize the Supreme Court in that setting.

I did not watch most of the address live, I prefer to watch when I can fast forward over all the pom and bull. I truly was shocked. I wonder if that was on or off the teleprompter.

I was really concerned that they were going to try and delay his swearing in. Glad that it went smoothly.
